When former foster youth Patrick Crosby decided to apply for college, he was terrified. “I didn’t know how I was going to pay for it. How well I would do. I didn’t know if I was stable enough or strong enough to finish college. Then the though of paying for school struck me and I didn’t believe I could get the funds to pay for school. It scared me.” The Orphan Foundation of America believed in Patrick and gave him a college scholarship. Each year thousands of former foster youth turn to OFA when it’s time for college and OFA comes through giving out more than 10 million dollars in college scholarships each year.
