Every month, $10,000 in scholarship money is given away at freecollegescholarships.net. To apply for this scholarship you only need to be eighteen years old and be a resident of the United States. To enter the scholarship drawing, you simply have to fill a one-page registration form. Don’t miss the next drawing, so remember to register now before the next drawing.
There is a scholarship offered at Coe College called the Writing Center Fellowship. Eligible students can win upwards of $1,000. To apply you have to submit examples of your best essays as well as poetry and non-fiction.
The Alliance for Young Writers and Artists rewards creative writers as well. Work that you need to submit includes work in humor, journalism, and dramatic script. You are also allowed so send work in non-fiction and poetry.

You will have better chances of getting scholarship money if you apply for more than you think necessary. Doing this will improve your chances of actually getting scholarships and will make your tuition payment time much easier.
While applying for scholarships, keep in mind not to rely on one or two scholarship programs only. Be sure to describe what your strengths are, and also your weaknesses but in a way that shows how you’ve managed to get through struggling times and how you’ve changed as a person due to those experiences.
