There are multiple ways for mothers to get their education finance wise once they find the time. There are banks that give loans or education credit cards; some institutes offer other loan programs with higher rates of interest; various scholarships exist; there are also some grants given to very low-income families or ones based on minority groups.
The scholarships are a very good thing, but they are usually very difficult to get because they are limited in amount. The loans after a few years of post-secondary education will add up to more than you would believe. If you have a four year program, you will end up owing usually more than $40,000. That will take over ten years to pay off even if you have a nice paycheck. Imagine what it would be if you don’t.
There is a much better way to go about this. You can apply for the Federal Pell Grant that Obama has recently revised, and may continue to do so for the better. This grant offers you up to $10,000 a school year, for up to the equivalent of 18 semesters, and you will never have to pay it back. There is also a $4000 tax exemption that you can file for as well. There is no hassle involved, just a simple application form that you get from the FAFSA website that you send in to your school along with your enrollment papers. Getting your education this way has to be the best route going. You get your full education for free, and you’ll have a great job waiting for you on the other side.
