Furthermore, there has been a rise in female scholars in the country since other scholarships today do not require female students to keep an above-average academic standing. Simply put, if you barely kept straight A’s on your report card, you could still qualify for a scholarship program if you show excellence in extra-curricular activities, like sports and public service.

If you are looking to build a career in male-dominated industries, there are certain organizations in the country that can provide you with educational assistance and a job after you graduate.

If you are an aspiring engineer, the Society of Women Engineers can provide financial support and training to women who are taking up engineering in college. Not only do they sponsor scholarships, they also offer grants and loans– these are perfect for students who might stumble into financial difficult throughout their stay in the university. Government organizations are not the only sources of scholarships. Even NGO’s like the National League of American Pen Women provide scholarships for lesbians and bisexual women.
