You could possess some attributes but you can't have them all immediately. These aren't the things that you're going to be judged at during your exams. But these surely are the characteristics that will be asked by your future employers, work mates and even patients.
First and foremost you have to be merciful. You’ve got to have an inner need to help and care for the people who need it. CNA profession revolves around helping people, so if you aren't truly merciful, you won't be able to cope with what's requested of you.
A CNA must have a positive attitude. Since you'll be dealing with very sick folk, folk going through very rough time or those suffering from life-threatening illness, you have to be positive and awfully robust emotionally. It will help you cope with complicated situation and the patients will feel a feeling of relief.
You need to be neat, well-presented and groomed. This is so that you are presentable to the public and hygienic. Being emotionally and physically healthy will help you cope with the demands of the job, where you will be besieged by folk who are not very well.
Finally, a good communication ability is as important as any other trait discussed above. Since you'll be working with folks with various incapacities and difficulties, you must be in a position to convey the right message, even though it may not be what you actually feel just like.
