I am going to be attending Barry University in the fall as a first year graduate student in the Masters of Social Work program. I don’t have a lot of money, and I already have $40,000 worth of student loans from undergrad. I have a BS in Accounting but I want a career that actually works with people – one where I can help others who are going through emotionally trying times. Are there scholarships or grants out there that might not be well known that would offer sizable financial support towards graduate studies? I’ve looked at websites that list scholarships based on a profile that I build…but sometimes there are private scholarships that aren’t listed on websites like that…does anyone know where I might find something like that? Thanks!
